IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION BODIES: A new Mandatory Implementation Guide has been published

The “Guideline on Halal Certification Schemes for Halal Slaughter & Processing of Perishable Animal Products Group” prepared by the Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) has been officially published.
Following a six-month transition period, this Guideline, which will enter into force as of 5 March 2026, shall be binding on all certification bodies accredited in the scope of ‘Halal Slaughtering & Processing of Perishable Animal Products’ as defined in the relevant HAK documents.

As such, the Guideline stipulates mandatory implementation requirements on the personnel structure, halal certification schemes, and operations to be carried out within the context of these schemes for organizations that will conduct accredited halal certification activities in the scope of ‘Halal Slaughter & Processing of Perishable Animal Products’.
