We Participated in the Halal Quality Forum Held in Libya and Contributed Our Expertise
The Halal Quality Forum, held in Libya on 25/01/2026, provided an important platform for discussions on the development of halal standards and the strengthening of the national halal quality infrastructure. Mr. Zafer Soylu, Board of Director of Halal Accreditation Agency of Türkiye (HAK), participated in the Forum and delivered a comprehensive presentation on halal accreditation systems.
In his presentation, Mr. Soylu emphasized that accreditation is a fundamental pillar in ensuring the impartiality, competence, and credibility of halal certification bodies. He highlighted the importance of international cooperation , particularly under the umbrella of IFHAB in strengthening global halal assurance systems. Mr. Soylu underlined that a robust accreditation framework enhances consumer confidence and facilitates international market access for halal products and services. He also noted that HAK’s national and international activities contribute significantly to the harmonization and reliability of halal ecosystems worldwide.
The forum addressed key topics such as the harmonization of halal standards, certification and verification processes, and the development of halal quality infrastructure, with contributions from experts representing various institutions and countries. The event attracted strong participation from public authorities, academic institutions, and the private sector, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening institutional coordination and adopting internationally recognized halal standards.
