Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for enhancing the cooperation in the field of halal quality infrastructure was signed between the Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) and the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology on June 22, 2022 in Ankara.
We hosted the high-level delegation of Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology and Kazakhstan National Center for Accreditation in our premises and held a fruitful meeting on cooperation opportunities in the framework of the halal standards issued by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).

Till now, the HAK has signed MoUs with relevant institutions of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Algeria and Sudan besides Kazakhstan. With these efforts, the HAK continues its cooperation studies for establishment of a globally harmonized halal quality infrastructure and for the elimination of the technical barriers to trade arising from diversified halal certification systems.
