Memorandum of Understanding between the HAK and Sudanese Halal Goods and Services Council was Signed
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for enhancing the cooperation between the Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) and Sudanese Halal Goods and Services Council was signed on May 19, 2022, in Kazan/Tatarstan/Russian Federation.
With the MoU, it is aimed to enhance the cooperation on conducting trainings on halal quality infrastructure, realizing expert and information exchange and contributing to the creation of a global halal quality infrastructure based on the standards issued by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), an affiliated body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)
The HAK, signed MoUs also with relevant institutions of Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Algeria so far, will continue its efforts for creation of a halal quality infrastructure based on internationally accepted standards and for locating the halal certificates to a position of being facilitators to the international trade rather than being technical barriers.
