Technical Training for Halal Conformity Assessment Professionals (11-14 May 2026)

An English technical training program will be organized for people who work or plan to work in halal conformity assessment bodies between May 11–14, 2026. The training will cover the international trade of halal-certified products and services, the history and current status of halal certification around the world, technical regulations related to halal certification in various countries, and standards published by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), an affiliated institution of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), including OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 (General Requirements for Halal Food), OIC/SMIIC 2:2019 (Conformity Assessment- Requirements for Bodies Providing Halal Certification), OIC/SMIIC 6:2019 (Particular Requirements for the Application of OIC/SMIIC 1 to Places Where Halal Food and Beverages are Prepared, Stored and Served), OIC/SMIIC 24:2020 (General Requirements for Food Additives and Other Added Chemicals to Halal Food), and OIC/SMIIC 33:2020 (Conformity Assessment – Example of a Certification Scheme for Halal Products), as well as relevant clauses of referenced ISO standards, other technical texts, and the accreditation processes and rules of the Halal Accreditation Agency.

The training will be conducted online via Vedubox/Zoom over a period of four days and will begin at 10:00 a.m. Türkiye time. The participation fee is 550 USD per person, and the quota is limited to 20 participants. At the end of the training, an examination will be held. Participants who successfully pass the exam will be awarded a Certificate of Successful Completion valid for five years, while those who do not pass will receive a Certificate of Participation. Applications are limited to the available quota.
